Meet Sarah Jones, Piano Instructor Substitute Sarah Jones is twenty-one years old. She was born and raised in Summerville, South Carolina. Sarah has been playing the piano for fifteen years and has been teaching on and off for roughly five years. She is a graduate of Summerville High School, class of 2009, and currently enrolled at Trident Technical College studying radiology. Sarah was the accompanist for her high school’s choir all four years and also participated in honors choirs and piano competitions. In 2006, she received the Maestro’s Award for outstanding section performance in a choir competition that her high school participated in. In 2009, she participated in the SCMEA (South Carolina Music Educators Association) in-service conference competition where she received a superior rating and was asked to play in the SCMEA honor’s recital. In 2008, Sarah had the privilege of playing at the Kennedy Center in New York City as the accompanist for her high school choir. Sarah is also currently employed at CVS/Pharmacy as a shift manager where she has been working full time for five years. Her hobbies are hiking, going to the gym, swimming and of course playing my piano. Sarah does a fantastic job teaching and greatly enjoys working with the piano students to help them further their development and skills as pianists. |
